Downtime Activities - D&D live game

Sunday, 31st May 2026 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Gasworks Museum, 20 Braemar Street, Dunedin

Welcome to Downtime Activities: Campaign 1 Session 2.

Join Matthew Wilson, Mark Neilson, Rosella Hart and Nick Tipa, with Maddy Parkins-Craig on music and Dungeon Master Ashley Stewart, as they fumble their way across the DM’s world: the Lensig Empire.

This is a real, fully improvised D&D game, meaning the duration will vary (around 2–3 hours). It’s a relaxed performance, with free tea and coffee available throughout the show. Audience members are welcome to BYO dinner and snacks, and to get up and stretch while the party argues about the best way to vanquish an epic foe—or change a lightbulb, depending on their bad decisions.

Doorsales, lollies, chips, and soft drinks are available onsite prior to the show. Cash or bank transfer only (no EFTPOS). No alcohol will be on sale for the May show. Seating is basic, so attendees are encouraged to bring a cushion or their own comfy seat if preferred.

As this is fully improvised content, expect swearing, unpredictable shenanigans, and mature themes. No under 14s please. Older teens are welcome, preferably accompanied by an adult.

Each session is designed to be entertaining as a standalone experience, but it forms part of a long-form storytelling campaign following recurring characters. More information and the podcast from last month’s session can be found at downtimeactivities.nz
