Tūhura Birthday Party

Celebrate Tūhura Otago Museum's 149th Birthday with a special community fundraiser to help save one of Dunedin's most loved spaces.

After nearly 20 years, the Tropical Forest roof has reached the end of its life and needs to be replaced. We want to ensure future generations can continue to enjoy this unique space for years to come.

Join us for a fun-filled community celebration featuring live performances, face painting, balloon artists, games, popcorn, food, and plenty of family entertainment. Plus, entry to our Science Centre and Planetarium will be just $10 each per person for the day, the same price for both adults and children.

Every dollar raised throughout the day will go directly towards replacing the Tropical Forest roof. If you can't make it but would still like to support the project, donations can also be made online here.
