Dunningham Suite, 4th Floor, Dunedin City Library
Based on rare photographs and notebooks preserved by historian Dr Martin Nekola, this illustrated lecture explores the life of Czech adventurer Bohumil Pospíšil (1902–1974).
In the late 1920s, he travelled over 160,000 kilometres across the world, documenting cultures and everyday life.
His journey led him to New Zealand, which became his permanent home and the inspiration for his acclaimed book Wandering on the Islands of Wonders.
