This poetry workshop is perfect for inspiring new poems and getting to grips with editing current work. Together, you will be exploring language, imagery and structure, using examples of poems to inspire fresh ideas. There will be an opportunity for a Q&A and for accompanying teachers to learn tips and tricks to get their classes excited about poetry and more.

Swapna Haddow, who also writes as ‘Swapna Reddy’, is the award-winning children’s author of the Dave Pigeon and The Terrible Trio series. She is working with Scholastic, Faber & Faber, HarperCollins, Macmillan and Oxford University Press to bring stories to readers around the world, with her books currently translated into forty languages.
Her poems have been included in several anthologies including Katherine Rundell’s The Book of Hopes, published by Bloomsbury, and the British Library’s A Children’s Literary Christmas.
