Join author and illustrator Cats Hampson for a fun, interactive session inspired by her book Lyla’s Story. Discover the many different ways we can communicate, even when we don’t use spoken or written words.
What to expect:

Discover different ways people communicate, including AAC, facial expressions and body language
Have a go at using New Zealand Sign Language
Explore communication devices, switches and other AAC tools
Use picture cards to explore and express emotions
