Opening of the new South Dunedin Community Library

You’ll soon be able to check out the new South Dunedin Community Library at the official opening of Te Whata o Kaituna on Saturday, 27 September. 

Last week, mana whenua led a whakawātea of the new South Dunedin Community Library in Te Whata o Kaituna, clearing the way for kaimahi to begin bringing the library to life with its array of books, tools, furniture, and services.

Please come prepared for the weather, and remain patient as limited numbers can be inside the building at a time. The library will be open until 3pm for people to sign up to our library services, borrow from our brand-new collection, and enjoy a range of activities.
