Celebrate Matariki in Ōtepoti with Matariki mā Puaka, where the night sky comes alive with dazzling drone lights, weaving local stories into the stars.

Join an unforgettable evening featuring a spectacular drone light show, lighting up the night sky at 6pm and again at 8.30pm. This awe-inspiring display will be a highlight of the celebrations, perfect for all ages.

Enjoy live entertainment throughout the evening, including performances by 1 Drop Nation, powerful kapa haka by He Waka Kotuia, and the evocative sounds of Taonga Pūoro — traditional Māori instruments that connect us to the natural world.

Workshops: From 3:00pm

Live Entertainment: 5.30pm – 9:00pm

Drone Show: 6:00pm - repeated at 8:30pm
