Online Book Launch - We Were Here: Artur Dron

Join this moving and unforgettable event celebrating the launch of We Were Here, a poetry collection by Artur Dron’—a young Ukrainian poet and soldier with the 125th Territorial Defence Brigade from Lviv, who volunteered days after the full-scale Russian invasion in 2022.

Written from the front lines, this book shares Artur’s own war experience and the voices of his fellow soldiers and civilians.
Recently wounded, Artur has undergone multiple surgeries following a devastating attack that killed two of his comrades. This event, marking the end of his book tour in Ukraine, is a testament to survival, memory, and artistic resistance.

We Were Here is translated by poet and cultural advocate Yuliya Musakovska, who will join Artur live from Lviv, while the editorial team including Hugh Roberts, Helen Vassallo, Fiona Benson, and Charlotte Shevchenko Knight join from Exeter and online.
