Join us for a chance to meet acclaimed Irish writer Nicole Flattery as she begins her Fellowship!
Nicole is the 2025 Writing Fellow at the University of Otago’s Centre for Irish and Scottish Studies, and will be resident at Caselberg House, Whaka Oho Rahi – Broad Bay. Her debut story collection, Show Them a Good Time, won multiple awards and was named one of the Irish Times’ 100 Best Irish Books of the 21st Century. Her celebrated novel, Nothing Special, was published in 2023 and her work has been translated into eight languages.
Nicole will be in conversation with Professor Maebh Long, the new Chair of Irish Studies at the Centre for Irish and Scottish Studies. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to meet both Maebh and Nicole for an intriguing conversation about writing, publishing, Ireland, and so much more!
