The Playhouse Theatre

The Playhouse's award-winning Youth Theatre is proud to present The Importance of Being Earnest, Oscar Wilde’s timeless comedy of manners and witty one-liners. 

This hilarious play takes aim at Victorian ideas of class, marriage and the shallowness of polite society where appearance is everything. Join us for the fun of disappearing cucumber sandwiches, double identities, love and romance... and a capacious handbag. 

There will be seven performances between Thursday 27 November and Sunday 7 December.

All proceeds support the Playhouse Theatre's refurbishment, to save our theatre for future generations.
