In her fresh memoirs, Jindra Tichá returns to the Czechoslovak reality of the 1950s and 1960s, her journey to exile in England at the beginning of Husák's normalisation, the subsequent voyage to the Antipodes, and continues her memoirs with the successful university career she built in Dunedin, New Zealand.

Local writer, Jindra Tichá spent the Northern summer in Prague last year to launch her latest book, Praha v me krvi (Prague in my blood). Published by Echo, the launch took place at the Czech Academy of Sciences 1 June 2023, hosted by the Prague Pen Club.

The book was introduced by president of the Czech Society of Writers, Ondrej Vaculik with speakers: Dr Slomek (book editor); head of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Literature and Arts, Dr. Samalik; and founder and editor-in-chief of Weekly Echo, Dr Balsinek.  Dr Slomek read an excerpt from the book.

The launch was well attended by writers and academics from Czech Academy of Sciences, Charles University, and the general public.

Praha v me krvi (Prague in my blood) has been enthusiastically greeted by Czech readers.

Jindra has published more than twenty books of fiction in the Czech language and two in English.
