REGISTRATIONS FOR Dunedin Fringe Festival 2027 ARE NOW OPEN!

By Dunedin Fringe Festival | Posted: Friday Oct 30, 2026

The second largest Fringe Festival in the country and taking place from the 4-14 March, Dunedin Fringe is an annual 11-day multidisciplinary arts festival featuring fresh, innovative and experimental visual and performance art… and everything in between!

Each year the festival supports approximately 80 events staged by over 500 artists and crew, drawing an audience of around 15,000. It’s a low barrier, affordable, accessible highlight of Ōtepoti’s cultural calendar.

We have an open access kaupapa (philosophy) here at Dunedin Fringe Festival: it’s not curated, meaning anyone can register and present work, regardless of their experience or artistic reputation.

So whether you’re a New Zealand artist or from further abroad, experienced or emerging, we’d love to have you as part of all the Fringe action in 2027.

Registrations are NOW OPEN til late November, so don’t wait to get started! Head to https://www.dunedinfringe.nz/for-fringe-artists for more info!
