Applications are now open for the 2026 Katherine Mansfield Menton Fellowship – a rare opportunity to step away and focus entirely on your work.

This prestigious Fellowship offers an established writer the opportunity to spend three months in Menton, France, writing from Villa Isola Bella, the very space where Katherine Mansfield created some of her most celebrated work.

The successful Fellow will receive a $50,000 grant covering travel, accommodation, and living expenses.

This is your chance to follow in the footsteps of some of New Zealand's most influential writers, including Witi Ihimaera, Janet Frame, Bill Manhire, Charlotte Grimshaw, Paula Morris, and Dame Fiona Kidman.
