2019 Scottish Arts Trust Story Awards

CELEBRATING WRITERS...images from the 2019 Scottish Arts Trust Story Awards at The Scottish Arts Club

Alexander McCall Smith chose Gail Anderson’s story OVERDUE as the winner of the 2019 Scottish Arts Club Short Story Competition. 

Second prize went to Donna Rutherford‘s story RIP and third prize to Liz Treanor’s SAMMY, THE QUEEN AND THE NICE LADY. 

Liz Treanor was also announced as winner of the Isobel Lodge Award given to the top story by an unpublished Scottish writer. 

Sandra Ireland picked Tom Gordon’s story THE WAY OF THINGS as the winner of the 2019 Edinburgh International Flash Fiction Award. 

Christine Stanton’s LEFTOVERS and Dora Bona’s SINS OF THE FATHER were awarded Commendations.
