CLNZ Writers’ Award 2018

The $25,000 CLNZ Writers’ Award is one of the investments made through CLNZ’s Cultural Fund. The Writers’ Award is offered to writers of any genre of non-fiction, including writers of education material.

The award enables successful applicants to devote time to a specific writing project.

Submissions for entries are now OPEN and close 4pm Friday 27 July 2018. The successful recipient will be contacted directly and announced in September.

How to Enter

  1. All applicants must read and understand the Application Criteria of the CLNZ Writers’ Award. We encourage you to print or download this PDF so you can refer to it easily through the application process.
  2. Before starting the application, please ensure you have all supporting documentation. You will be required to outline your project in four stages including timeframes, a breakdown of what you plan to spend the award on, a summary of your achievements as a writer, an outline of your proposed work, a sample of your writing and your curriculum vitae.
  3. Before submitting the application, you will have an opportunity to review and edit the application.
  4. Incomplete applications will be auto-saved if using the same browser, but supporting information will need to be reloaded.
