Today we're introducing our third ŌTL Playwright Programme writer for 2020.

Tunui Wano (Taranaki) is a student at The University of Otago, currently undertaking a degree in Media, Film and Communication, with a minor in Theatre. A lifetime love of music and drama has seen him involved in musicals, festivals and workshops, with writing popping up throughout. When participating in the UNESCO short play festival last year, Tunui found his interest sparked, prompting him to add a playwriting paper toward his degree and embark on an exciting new journey.

Originally from Lower Hutt, Tunui lived in Australia before attending high school in Ōtepoti, where he remains based.

Make sure you’re following our page to see who we bring together for Tunui’s work – announced in August!
