Kete – the new site devoted to the books of Aotearoa which launches on 15 September – will share reviews of New Zealand books with Stuff to bring the latest releases to readers of Sunday Magazine, Your Weekend and Stuff online. Kete is delighted to partner with Stuff, a New Zealand-owned media company committed to supporting local books.

Dionne Christian, former Deputy Editor of Canvas magazine and Arts and Books Editor for the New Zealand Herald, is the Reviews Editor for Kete (contact reviews@ketebooks.co.nz).

Alongside independent reviews of new New Zealand books, ketebooks.co.nz will feature details of recently published local titles, weekly bestseller lists, a calendar of events and awards, and regular updates to point readers to interviews, reviews and coverage of New Zealand books elsewhere in the media.

Emma Chamberlain, Stuff’s National Lifestyle & Entertainment Editor, said; “Storytelling is at the heart of what we do and it’s a joy to help promote the many wonderful authors and books from all corners of New Zealand.”

Kete is an initiative of The Coalition for Books, a collaborative organisation that aims to make a tangible difference to the literary landscape of Aotearoa by rolling out strategic initiatives that will engage more audiences with a diverse range of New Zealand books and authors.
