This week marks the 50th anniversary of Te Wiki o te Reo Māori, a movement that has encouraged countless people to take up the wero and kōrero te reo.

For Kotahi Mano Kāika whānau, who celebrate the 25th anniversary of our strategy this year, every week is te wiki o te reo. Through the hard work of many whānau, and spurred on by the sacrifice of generations before, we are starting to once again hear our reo Kāi Tahu echoing throughout the motu.

But there is more work to do e te whānau! As we look to the future, and the next 25 years of Kotahi Mano Kāika, Te Wiki o te Reo Māori is a great time to put your reo, no matter how much or how little you have, into use and join the movement!
