Playmarket are looking for Asian playwrights with the best new and original work. Asian Ink offers the selected playwright a development workshop with a professional script advisor and actors dedicated to helping them develop their play.

Plays previously selected for Asian Ink development include Chick Habit by Nuanzhi Zheng, Pork and Poll Taxes by Talia Pua, Not Woman Enough by Hweiling Ow, Orientation by Chye-Ling Huang, MoodPorn by Matthew Loveranes and Scenes from a Yellow Peril by Nathan Joe. Other playwrights who have developed work through Asian Ink include Joseph Trinidad, Jill Kwan and Benjamin Teh.
