New librarian for the soon-to-be opened South Dunedin library and community complex

Meet Amanda!

Amanda is the new librarian for the soon-to-be opened South Dunedin library and community complex, and she’s absolutely thrilled to finally see some of the hundreds of boxes full of new books for the facility – and there’s more on the way! The boxes are being stored at the City Library while Te Whata o Kaituna is still being fitted out. Once the interior is done and shelving is installed, the books will make their way to the new facility in South Dunedin.

This has been a huge amount of extra mahi for our library staff, and they have done an amazing job pulling together a fabulous new collection for the community and library.

We are looking forward to a September-October opening for the new library and community facility at Te Whata o Kaituna!
