PODCAST Layers of Identity - Vika Johnson

“Every single day that I’ve been alive knowing that I’m Russian, shapes me into the person I’m becoming. Every day I hope that I’m making my birth parents proud and my adoptive parents proud too.”

Vika, a Year 13 student at Queen’s High School, shares insights from her essay on the experience of being a Russian adoptee living in New Zealand and dreams of learning more about her family in Russia.
