Dunedin Fringe Festival are hiring!

Thanks to generous investment from the Dunedin City Council and advocacy from many community members, we’re delighted to announce that Dunedin Fringe-run temporary performing arts venue Te Whare o Rukutia is staying open for the next three years! That means we have an exciting employment opportunity at the venue.

The Dunedin Fringe Arts Trust is looking for a conscientious, enthusiastic Venue Manager to manage the operation of Te Whare o Rukutia alongside the DFAT Co-Director/Creative Producer.

The Venue Manager will be responsible for the day to day running of the venue, including:

• Managing enquiries and bookings

• Being responsible for in-house equipment, ensuring safe storage and use

• Supporting hirers to make the most of their Te Whare o Rukutia booking

• Operating the sound and lighting desk for hirers

• Ensuring compliance with, and documentation of, all Health and Safety requirements

• Maintaining social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram), posting regularly to promote the venue for hire and events happening in the venue.

Contract Details:
24 hours per week (days and times variable, may require some evening/weekend work)
$35 per hour
