Thanks to generous investment from the Dunedin City Council and advocacy from many community members, we’re delighted to announce that Dunedin Fringe-run temporary performing arts venue Te Whare o Rukutia is staying open for the next three years! That means we have an exciting employment opportunity at the venue.
The Dunedin Fringe Arts Trust is looking for a conscientious, enthusiastic Venue Manager to manage the operation of Te Whare o Rukutia alongside the DFAT Co-Director/Creative Producer.
The Venue Manager will be responsible for the day to day running of the venue, including:
Managing enquiries and bookings
Being responsible for in-house equipment, ensuring safe storage and use
Supporting hirers to make the most of their Te Whare o Rukutia booking
Operating the sound and lighting desk for hirers
Ensuring compliance with, and documentation of, all Health and Safety requirements
Maintaining social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram), posting regularly to promote the venue for hire and events happening in the venue.

Contract Details:
24 hours per week (days and times variable, may require some evening/weekend work)
$35 per hour
