Library hosting Pride Mixer

Queer literature had played a vital part in the discovery of his own identity and providing easy access could benefit many people.

There had been great strides made with LGBTQ+ rights in recent years, but there was still a long way to go as many countries still outlawed same sex relationships, he said.

Pride events were a great way to make sure progress was still being made while celebrating the diversity throughout the community.

The mixer was hosted with help from community group Dunedin Pride and would take place today at 6pm at the Dunedin City Library.
