Introducing Elixir & Star Press

And we're launched !

Tēnā koutou katoa, introducing Elixir & Star Press ~ a small, independent publisher based in Te Wai Pounamu, created in memory of Reuben Winter, and as a dedicated creative space to explore grief in Aotearoa New Zealand. 

This year ESP* will be open for submissions, from New Zealand based creatives, during April and May, for their inaugural print-based 2023 anthology. Our vision is to encourage the expression of grief, in ways that are safe, accessible and honest. 

What will we be looking for? Your personal reflections on grief. 

• Poetry (50 lines max)
• Short fiction or non-fiction (400 words max)•
• Photography to fit our A5 portrait layout (black and white) 
• Visual art to fit our A5 portrait layout (black and white) 

We look forward to receiving your submissions in a few months. In the meantime, and as we build our audience, we’d appreciate your support with following us on social media and sharing our vision.
