Beatrice Hale relaunches historical adventure

Aberdeen-born author Beatrice Hale has relaunched an exciting historical adventure, The Resolute Heart, with The Kellas Cat Press in Aberdeen.

THE RESOLUTE HEART tells the story of Fife woman Mary, whose fisher husband is pressganged to serve in Nelson’s navy. The idea for the yarn comes from an incident in Beatrice Hale’s own family history.

A determined woman …

When Napoleon is threatening the shores of Britain, Nelson’s navy needs all the men it can get – and they’re not all volunteers.

Mary’s husband is snatched from the shores of Fife to serve in the biggest naval battle of the age. But Mary’s no sit-at-home wife: she’s going after him.

On the way she’ll make enemies and friends - sometimes it’s hard to tell which is which. Not everyone wants Nelson to win.

Will she find Harry? And if she does, can she rescue him – from the navy and from the country’s worst enemies?

Author Beatrice Hale grew up inspired by her family history and the rich community of Torry, a fishing village on the outskirts of Aberdeen. Now settled in Dunedin she has time to share stories of adventure for all ages drawn from scintillating fragments of that history.

Copies of the book are available on Amazon.
