At 88, Peter Duncan is proof it’s never too late to learn.
After dedicating his life to education, he’s now believed to be Otago’s oldest PhD graduate – he will walk across the stage today supported by family who have gathered from Wānaka, Canterbury, Canberra, Hawaii, and Arizona.
From helping build the Roxburgh Dam to advising US education leaders, Peter’s career journey has been extraordinary, and his latest achievement is another celebration of his passion for lifelong learning and unwavering curiosity.
“Age need not be a factor. If you are wishing to do something, just put your mind to it and do it. You can do it!”
