This year's Coalition for Books Matariki Winter Reading catalogue is out.

Mānawatia a Matariki mā te pānui i tēnei hōtoke – celebrate Matariki with winter reading. Matariki marks the passage of another year; a time to remember the dead and to celebrate new life; to reflect on the previous year, and to let it go; to look to the promise of a new season and a new year. In the past, in the cold months around Matariki, people would gather to keep warm, share kai and share knowledge through pūrākau (stories) and song … here are new books from Aotearoa to share this winter.

The catalogue showcases new books from Aotearoa published in the lead up to and over the Matariki and winter period (March to July 2023 release).
