Submissions Open for The Fun Size Festival 7 - 16 March 2024!

Have a funny play inside of you? Then it’s time to write it down!
Conditions:
Must be an original NZ work (ie: written by a New Zealander) that hasn’t been staged before.
Must be in the comedy genre.
Must be no longer than 15 minutes and no shorter than 2 minutes.
Must email 2 copies of your script - one named, one unnamed for the blind reading.
The Covert Theatre’s decision on selected scripts is final.
If selected, the Covert Theatre helps orchestrate directors, actors, crew and also provide rehearsal space, performance space and tech crew at NO CHARGE. It’s a super easy and accessible way for your short play to be produced. And there is the potential for hundreds of happy theatre-goers to experience your work!
The deadline for submissions for the 2024 Fun Size Festival is 29 September 2023. There are no fees for submission.
