Stay Connected with the Centre for the Book

The Centre for the Book at the University of Otago operates with a light touch. It does not maintain a mailing list, send frequent reminders, or seek funding. Most of its activities are promoted through word of mouth and via its blog: blogs.otago.ac.nz/cfb.
While the blog allows readers to subscribe for email notifications of new posts, the Centre has opted not to include a standard 'Follow' button due to spam issues. Instead, it takes a more personal approach, welcoming each subscriber individually. (Subscribers can unsubscribe at any time.)
Those interested in keeping up with the Centre's activities are invited to send a brief email to books@otago.ac.nz with "subscribe" in the subject line and a sentence about their interest in the Centre. Existing connections are always welcome, and new ones are warmly received.
Upcoming Event: Joint Conference with BSANZ
The Centre’s major event for the year is a joint conference with the Bibliographical Society of Australia and New Zealand (BSANZ), taking place from 18–20 November. The programme will feature three keynote speakers and six themed panels.
In addition, special collections librarians are encouraged to attend Librarians’ Day on 21 November, which will bring together leading experts from across Australasia.
More details will be shared on the blog as the programme develops.
