For two weeks* you will have a dedicated writing space in our centrally located office space, a stipend of $2000 to support your time, a $150 accessibility stipend, and access to additional support, such as mentoring or networking opportunities.
We’re open as to when you take up the residency, as long it’s completed by 30th November 2022. You may wish to align with events, such as the New Zealand Young Writers Festival or Dunedin Arts Festival; and we’re happy to assist you figure out presentation avenues, if that’s your goal.
We invite writers based anywhere in the Ōtepoti region to apply. You can be at any stage of your career and be writing in any genre. We actively seek and encourage all writers—diverse in age, gender identity, race, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability, ethnicity, and perspective—to apply.
Please note, this opportunity is for locally based writers, accordingly, there is no accommodation provided. The Ōtepoti region covers a large area, but check with us if you have any queries.
Deadlines: Applications open on 11 August and close on 29 August. The successful applicant will be notified by Monday 5 September 2022.
