Commissioned by the DCC in 1998, this new expanded edition of The Welcome of Strangers is co-published by Bridget Williams Books - BWB & Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu. Featuring historic and contemporary photographs, it brings compelling stories to life while preserving and sharing the whakapapa and histories that continue to define southern Māori identity today.
