Expressions of interest are invited from members and followers of the children’s literature community who would like to judge the 2026 New Zealand Book Awards for Children and Young Adults.

Past convenor Feana Tu‘akoi calls it “a booklover’s dream” – reading a year’s worth of titles, debating their merits with fellow judges, and shining a light on the voices that shape young readers.

If you have the right experience and expertise, now’s your chance to get involved. Applications close on 30 October.
