An incredible talent that worked on the Otago Polyfest banners

Story time!! In 2nd year of studying design I collaborated with some other talented designers and artists to work on the Otago Polyfest banners. These get displayed on stage as schools, students and groups perform kapa haka and island dances and performances. This was my first big design job and put myself and my art on the map right away and it's been up and up since then. This brings back so many memories and recently I was gifted this banner. These were on display on all the lampposts around Ōtepoti. This is still one of the most significant jobs I have ever worked on and the banners still get talked about to this day. Long story short it represents the Pacific Ocean and the islands that sit within it coming together to celebrate our cultures.
