Landing Press’s new project for 2026: an anthology of poems about WATER! Send your poems to landingpresswater@gmail.com by 30 June 2026

Original article: Landing Press wants poems about water! – LANDING PRESS

Water is a wide-reaching topic that wraps around the whole of life. There are so many ways to think about water – in memory, rituals and beliefs, as an environment – including the animals that live within and by it – as a necessity for life, in the arts, water sports, work, as a source of happiness, protest, and
devastation – too much, or too little. We want your unique eye on this subject of water.

Whether you’re an established writer, an in-your-notes-app-midnight-poet or this is your first submission with your first-ever writing, we want to read it.

  • You can send us up to 3 poems. Maximum length of each poem 40 lines.

  • Put each poem on a separate page, and with each poem, include your name and contact details (email address, postal address and phone number).

  • You can send poems in languages other than English, but please include an English translation or version.

  • Please send your poems in a Word doc, not as a pdf.

  • We want poems that have not been published before.

  • It’s helpful to include a note about your inspiration for your poem(s), this will be just for the Landing Press team.

  • Send your poems to landingpresswater@gmail.com by 30 June 2026. Or you can post your poems (including hand-written poems) to Landing Press, 97 Tireti Road, Titahi Bay Porirua 5022.

We value your authentic voice. Please do not send us any poems written by or contributed to with AI.

We are planning to publish this anthology in early 2027. All writers included in the anthology will get a complimentary copy of the book.
