Tree Beings by Raymond Huber

I really love the concept of “tree beings” and sharing with students that people who love trees really care for our environment, as trees contribute so much towards our planet. The book covers four ideas - 3 of how trees contribute to making our lives better - with the 4th being that trees need our help and protection. Each big idea has chapters and within that are the stories of “tree beings” who are really inspiring, such as Dr Jane Goodall. This book certainly is not a quick read, but with so much good information set out in such a clear and inspiring way, it is certainly a book that can be dipped in and out of.

The layout of this book is beautiful and the illustrations are simply stunning. It contains a wealth of value information and role models to inspire us all to be ‘tree beings’ in some form.

This is a delightful and educational book that I really enjoyed reading for pleasure and sharing with my class.
