News is in from tonight's Book Design Awards and MOPHEAD has taken out top honours, picking up THREE prizes:

• Gerard Reid Award for Best Book sponsored by Nielsen Book
• Scholastic New Zealand Award for Best Children’s Book
• AND Publishers Association of New Zealand People’s Choice Award!

Per the convening judge Anna Brown in the press release: “Mophead scored a near-unachievable 39/40 from the four judges."

WOW. Big congratulations to hyper-talented designer Vida Kelly, to Selina Tusitala Marsh for writing and illustrating a book to warrant such thoughtful design and to Auckland University Press for making it happen.
