Ōtepōti Theatre Lab's Playwright Programme 2022

Today we're introducing our third ŌTL Playwright Programme writer for 2022, Tia Hibbert!

Sown and grown on the west side of Ōtepōti’s harbour, Tia spent her formative years feasting upon stories. Now fully grown, this love has evolved into the desire to tell her own. She recently graduated from the University of Otago with a degree in Media and Theatre Studies, and during this time she performed in the 2019 UNSECO Short Play Festival, made her directing debut with an excerpt of Here by Michael Frayn, and wrote her first one act play.

In her spare time Tia can be found wandering the woods attempting to communicate with old spirits.

We're thrilled to welcome Tia to the programme this year, and look forward to sharing with you soon the incredible team who'll be supporting her mahi.
