Poet, essayist, storyteller and editor Iona Winter discusses her latest collection 'In the shape of his hand lay a river' (Elixir & Star Press Aotearoa New Zealand), which launches via Zoom on Easter Saturday.

Iona's work around suicide bereavement and grief is powerful and fearless. Written throughout the initial impact of her son's death, In the shape of his hand lay a river aims to challenge perceptions of suicide bereavement, and with an unashamed voice lend words to those who are unable to find them.
