Nonfiction Fundamentals runs for four Sundays this April, online only, from 10 AM–12 PM. Each session includes a craft seminar, close reading of published work and writing exercises. This short course is ideal for anyone writing – or teaching – this genre.

The cost is $250 / $200 concessions for the four weeks. Each seminar will be held live via Zoom and recorded for all registered participants. The dates are: Sundays 7, 14, 21 and 28 April.

Paula Morris (Ngāti Wai, Ngāti Manuhiri, Ngāti Whātua) is an award-winning novelist, story writer, essayist and editor. She is the author of the long-form essay On Coming Home (BWB 2015) and her essays and travel writing have appeared in numerous anthologies, as well as in newspapers and magazines, and in her collection False River (Penguin 2017). She directs the Master of Creative Writing programme at the University of Auckland.

All proceeds from this course will go towards the work of the Academy of New Zealand Literature and the Aotearoa NZ Review of Books.
