Dunedin UNESCO City of Literature Robert Burns Poetry Competition

This international competition opens on 1st September 2018 for any adult published or unpublished poet* and is presented in collaboration with Dunedin Public Libraries, Dunedin Burns Club, and with the support of the Dunedin UNESCO City of Literature, University of Otago Department of Irish and Scottish Studies, and the Otago Daily Times. Cash prizes for first place winners in each of two categories are generously sponsored by the Otago Scottish Heritage Council and the Dunedin Public Libraries Association.

Write a poem in English or Scots, inspired by the life or works of Robert Burns for your chance to win. Winners will be announced and presented with prizes on Robert Burns' birthday, 25 January 2017.
