Poetry on the Edge: A South Island Celebration in Ōtepoti Dunedin
Friday, 25th August 2023 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Doors open 5.30pm, programme starts 6pm | 4th Floor | City Library
The NZ Society of Authors Otago Southland branch, with the Dunedin Libraries and UNESCO City of Literature, invite you to our 2023 National Poetry Day event.
An evening of new poetry, with award-winning poets and emerging voices, accompanied by jazz from the Bill Martin Trio.
We’ll share new poetry and new books. We’ll hear winning poems from the 2023 Otago/ Southland competition, selected by Robert Sullivan (adult) and Susan Wardell (youth). And we’ll celebrate with poetry in dialogue with past voices, poetry that explores old themes through new means, poetry that finds the edge in unexpected ways!
All welcome – come explore words at the edge with us!
