We’re a wee-ways up
Off the beaten track
But you would’ve heard of us...
Easter holidays 1986. The Matron of Highburn School for Girls and her assistant are left alone with two of their most recalcitrant charges at the isolated campus. That is until the arrival of two unannounced guests and an earlier and heavier than expected snowfall.
Snowblind is parts The Shining, The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, and Picnic at Hanging Rock, and entirely the central-south of mid-80s Aotearoa-New Zealand.
Prospect Park Productions, hosted by Olveston Historic Home, invite you to a rehearsed reading of Snowblind, a new full-length NZ Alpine Gothic Comedy by Emily Duncan.
Doors open from 3.30, reading starts at 4pm. Run time is approximately 2 hours, plus interval where light refreshments will be served.
The development of Snowblind has been made possible thanks to support from the Dunedin City Council's Professional Theatre Fund.
