Have you ever wondered about the famous Mr Punch's ancestors? Travel back to late sixteenth-century England to meet the original Jack Punch, a lazy launderer, who is most unhappy with his humble station.  Constantly scheming to improve his lot, Mr Punch aims to become a lord, and marry the Queen! To reach such dizzy heights, he must overcome many obstacles. Can he decipher the cryptic prophecies of three witches? Outwit a cunning Elizabethan courtier? Escape a brutal executioner? Defeat a whole armada of Spanish fanatics? Oh, and get along with his wife, Judy? Come and find out! Performance includes Renaissance songs and dances performed by the Rare Byrds Early Music Consort and Chorus.
Suitable for all ages.

Performances at 1pm and 3pm
