Jeremy Scott: Adventure Cyclist
23 March 2017 6:00pm — 8:00pm
On the 5th October 2011, Kiwi adventurer Jeremy Scott began the challenge of a lifetime: a 2½ year, 52,000km solo bicycle ride from London to New Zealand. As he pedalled his way around the planet, Jeremy covered more than enough distance to circumnavigate the earth.
Jeremy’s fierce determination and relentless desire to succeed highlights what anyone can achieve in life, if they are willing to take that first step. Jeremy will share the highs and lows that come hand-in-hand with such an incredible life: overcoming open-heart surgery as a child to beat the odds and complete an amazing feat of resilience. Through this inspirational and entertaining presentation, you may come to realise that ordinary people can achieve extraordinary things.
Copies of Jeremy Scott’s book, The Long Road from a Broken Heart will be available to purchase on the night.
