Dunedin fans of Robbie Burns have been celebrating the poet’s birthday since 1855. Join Toitū and the Dunedin Burns Club to hear about Burns on war and peace from the Commanding Officer of 2/4 Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment, Lieutenant-Colonel Amanda Brosnan, and Dunedin peace activist Professor Peter Matheson.

Enjoy traditional Scottish food and drink. Listen to young Dunedin musicians re-interpreting classic Burns songs. Hear the winners of the Burns poetry competition. Sample some haggis and whisky.
