Artsenta Exhibition 2019
20 - 27 September 2019 10:00am — 4:00pm
Artsenta presents their Annual Exhibition featuring 35 artists in a wide range of mediums and styles. Artsenta is a community art studio for people who use mental health services that has been operating in Dunedin for over 30 years.
The exhibition features quilling (poster image), acrylics on canvas, fabric screen prints, image transfers, oil paintings, dry point etchings, ceramics, beading, mosaics, watercolours, wool craft, and handmade chain-mail. Also diverse are the artwork titles which range from 'Bunny from heaven' to 'In defense of modern art' to 'I woke up in your mother's dream and she tried to steal my hat'.
An opening event will be held on Thursday 19 September at 5pm. The exhibition runs daily except for Sunday.
A series of Creative Sessions will also be held at the Community Gallery during Mental Health Awareness Week. These free drop-in activities run from 23-27 September and are a great way to ‘Explore your way to well-being’ (the theme of Mental Health Awareness Week). See separate event listing for more details.
