Jennifer is a mixed Hong Kong-Chinese writer, researcher, and artist. She is the founder and editor-in-chief of Rat World - an independent print magazine and collective focused on uplifting underground and underrepresented creatives. Jennifer was also the New Zealand Young Writers Festival 2023 Guest Curator.

As a writer, Jennifer is highly involved in the theatre community and is particularly passionate about reviewing Asian and BIPOC performing arts. Jennifer's current projects include developing her Proudly Asian Theatre Fresh Off The Page script, and publishing an anthology celebrating the creative work of mixed-heritage individuals in Aotearoa. She is also contributing research on Asian zinemaking practices to the Aotearoa Asian Arts Archive.

Jennifer is passionate about community arts practices, alternative forms of storytelling, and curating more accessible spaces for people to experience arts and writing. She is very excited to work on the Auckland Writers Festival with the rest of the team and cannot wait to meet everyone.
